Tulsa overwhelms Incarnate Word 76-47
TULSA, Okla. -- Shaquille Harrison was 10 of 15 from the floor to total 24 points and led Tulsa to a dominating 76-47 victory over a weary Incarnate Word team on Monday night.
Incarnate Word, which had a 110-104 triple-overtime victory over Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday night, never really got into this game as Tulsa led throughout. The Golden Hurricane was ahead 23-7 midway in the first half and had an overwhelming 41-16 advantage at the break. The Cardinals are in the midst of a seven-game road trip.
James Woodard had 12 points and Marquel Curtis chipped in 11 for Tulsa (7-5).
D'Andre Wright pulled down 10 rebounds as the Golden Hurricane dominated on the boards, grabbing 53 rebounds compared to 33 for Incarnate Word. Tulsa made 29 of 69 field goal attempts (42 percent) while limiting the Cardinals to 16-of-55 shooting (29.1 percent).
Denzel Livingston had 16 points for UIW (8-2).
