Gibbs pours in 37, Davidson races past UCF 95-69
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Jack Gibbs poured in a career-high 37 points on 15-of-17 shooting and Davidson ran past Central Florida 95-69 on Wednesday night.
The Wildcats (3-1) shot 54.4 percent from the field and drained 13 3-pointers. Gibbs' only two misses came on 3-point attempts as he went 5 of 7 from deep, a perfect 10 for 10 inside the arc and 2 of 2 from the free throw line.
Tyler Kalinoski also put in a career-high, scoring 25 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists. Kalinoski hit five from the perimeter, and Nathan Ekwu chipped in 11 points.
Davidson led 45-38 at halftime, and pushed that advantage to 63-46 after 3-pointers by Ekwu and Kalinoski. Gibbs had a tip-in and two 3-pointers during an 11-0 run that put the Wildcats up by 25 with 8:27 left.
Adonys Henriquez led UCF (3-1) with 14 points and Kasey Wilson added 13.
