Evansville rolls over Earlham 116-45
EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Mislav Brzoja had 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists to lead Evansville to a 116-45 win over Earlham to open the season on Saturday.
D.J. Balentine finished with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists, Egidijus Mockevicius had 16 points and five rebounds for Evansville. Adam Wing tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Brzoja shot 10 of 12 and the Purple Aces shot 63 percent from the field as a team.
Taylen Alexander had 18 points, on 7-of-13 shooting, and had five rebounds for Earlham. The Quakers made just 18 of 62 shots (29 percent) as a team.
Mockevicius' dunk capped a 15-0 run for Evansville to start the game. The lead grew to 29-10 in favor of the Purple Aces midway through the first half.
