Khallid Hart's 3 gives Marist 63-61 victory over Niagara
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Chavaughn Lewis had 24 points and nine rebounds and Khallid Hart's 3-pointer with four seconds left gave Marist its fourth straight win, 63-61 over Niagara on Friday night.
Hart's 3 pulled Marist back in front after Niagara went on a 9-0 run in the final three minutes to lead 61-60 on Ramone Snowden's free throws with 13 seconds left.
T.J. Curry and Hart finished with 11 points apiece for the Red Foxes (5-18, 4-9 Metro Atlantic), whose current winning streak immediately followed 14 straight losses.
Dominique Reid had 18 points and 15 rebounds for Niagara (4-18, 3-1). Emile Blackman added 19 points and Snowden 10. Snowden scored six of Niagara's final nine points.
Marist trailed by four before scoring 12 straight to lead 60-52 on Lewis' free throws with 3:32 left.
