Davidson rolls past Niagara 78-58
DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Tyler Kalinoski finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead Davidson to a 78-58 win over Niagara on Saturday.
Kalinoski shot 7 of 13 from the field for the Wildcats (8-1), which shot 53.8 percent (28 of 52) from the field. Jack Gibbs contributed 11 points, on 4-of-5 shooting, and Oskar Michelsen and Jordan Barham scored 10 apiece.
Ramone Snowden scored 14, Wesley Myers added 12 and Emile Blackman 11 points for Niagara (1-6).
Davidson scored the first eight points of the game and used a 10-0 run to open up a 22-6 lead midway through the first half. The Wildcats led by as many as 19 before taking a 40-22 lead into the break.
Neither team scored until the 15:24 mark in the second half.
Niagara shot just 34.5 percent (19 of 55) from the field and 20 percent (3 of 15) from 3-point range.
