Princeton Tigers @ Saint Peter's Peacocks
Saint Peter's beats cold-shooting Princeton 60-46
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Desi Washington and Marvin Dominique combined for 34 points and Saint Peter's took advantage of a mid-game scoring slump by Princeton to post a 60-46 win over its New Jersey neighbor Wednesday night.
Hans Brase scored 15 of Princeton's 25 first-half points and the Tigers built a nine-point first-half lead before starting to miss, allowing the Peacocks to forge a 25-25 tie at intermission.
But Brase couldn't keep up the scoring pace and finished with just two second-half points as the slump deepened. Amir Bell added another 10 points for the Tigers (3-7), but no one else threatened double digits.
Princeton finished shooting just 30.8 percent from the field (16 of 52) and were 8 of 26 from distance (30.8 percent)
Saint Peter's (4-6) shot an efficient 40.5 percent (17 of 42) and 41.2 from three-point range (7 of 17).
