Wright State beats Cleveland State 68-63
ASHWAUBENON, Wisc. -- Cole Darling scored 21 points Saturday night and Miles Dixon added 17 as Wright State beat Cleveland State 68-63 in a Horizon League tournament semifinal.
AJ Pacher scored 11 and the Raiders (20-13) outshot the Vikings (21-11) 55 percent to 40 percent.
No. 3 seeded Wright State opened with a 7-1 run, but No. 2 seeded Cleveland State rallied and led 14-9 on a jumper by Charlie Lee. Wright State ripped a 9-2 run capped by a jumper by Pacher and led 37-31 at halftime.
The teams traded baskets in the second half until Sebastian Douglas put the Vikings ahead 50-49 with a layup. Wright State got back on top with a 7-2 run, then led 67-60 on free throws by Darling with 19 seconds to play.
Lee led Cleveland State with 16, Trey Lewis had 14, and Anton Grady scored 10 and grabbed 13 rebounds.
