SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Mike Felt scored 23 points as North Dakota State pulled away from Rider 87-70 to win the Cable Car Classic.
Trayvonn Wright scored 17 points and Marshall Bjorklund added 19 for North Dakota State (4-3).
The Bison used a 15-2 run to gain a 32-15 lead in the first half. Rider (2-4) responded, cutting the lead to 38-29 by half time.
North Dakota State utilized a 14-4 run in the second half to stretch an 11-point lead into a 21, taking a commanding 62-41 advantage with 10:10 left.
Rider would not get within 15 for the rest of the game.
The Bison outscored the Broncs 46-26 in the paint and shot a blistering 61.5 percent from the field. Lawrence Alexander dished out eight assists for the Bison.
Myles Anthony led Rider with 23 points while Jimmie Taylor added 14 points.
Bjorklund was named tournament MVP.
