Norfolk St. rolls past Div. II Stillman 105-83
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Pendarvis Williams scored 32 points on Tuesday and led Norfolk State to a 105-83 victory over Division II Stillman College.
Brandon Goode scored 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Norfolk State (5-2) sealed its third straight win. Jamel Fuentes led the Spartans with nine assists.
Williams, who averaged 15.8 points per game before the Stillman match-up, hit the first nine points for Norfolk State at the start of the second half.
The Tigers (1-4) trailed by 16 points at the half after falling behind by as much as 26, but were outscored by just six points in the final 20 minutes.
Norfolk State beat Fairleigh Dickinson Monday 70-62 in the second week of the NIT Season Tip-Off. The Tigers fell to Rutgers 116-89.
