San Francisco edges Pacific 64-59
SAN FRANCISCO -- Cole Dickerson scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as San Francisco edged Pacific 64-59 Saturday.
San Francisco (18-10, 11-5 West Coast Conference) led 33-21 at half before holding off Pacific (14-13, 5-11) down the stretch.
Pacific opened the second half on a 13-1 run, and from there the lead went back and forth until the end.
Trailing 62-59 with 13 seconds left, Pacific's Tony Gill missed a long 3 and Mark Tollefsen secured the win with two late free throws.
Dickerson broke a tie at 57 on a drive to the hoop with 1:14 left. After Avry Holmes made 1 of 2 free throws, Trevin Harris' midrange fadeaway made it 60-59 with 21.8 seconds remaining. Holmes was then fouled and hit two free throws for the 62-59 lead.
Holmes had 15 points and five assists. Tollefsen added 11 points.
Harris scored 15 points and Sama Taku added 13.
