Pacific surges past North Dakota 93-76
EUGENE, Ore. -- Ross Rivera scored 19 points and Sama Taku added 18 as Pacific put away North Dakota 93-76 in a Global Sports Challenge matchup Sunday night.
The Tigers (6-1) overcame a three-point halftime deficit and surged to a 69-54 lead capped off by an Andrew Bock 3-pointer. They held North Dakota to just six points in the opening 10 minutes of the second half.
North Dakota(2-4) closed within nine on an Alonzo Taylor layup at the 4:33 mark, but Pacific answered with a 12-4 run to close the game.
Pacific shot 56.5 percent from the field and had five players score in double figures. Bock and Tony Gill each had 14 and T.J. Wallace contributed 10.
North Dakota shot 41.3 percent for the game and made just six of its 27 3-point attempts. They were led by Troy Huff with 21 points while Jamal Webb had 16.
