DEKALB, Ill. -- Darrell Bowie scored 23 points and J.J. Cravatta had 20 as Northern Illinois routed Division II St. Joseph's (Ind.) 111-61 on Sunday.
Leading 36-30 in the first half, Northern Illinois (2-3) went on a 17-2 run to extend its lead to 21 points. The Huskies led 59-37 at halftime and outscored St. Joseph's 52-24 in the second half. It was the first time the Huskies had broken the 100-point mark since 2005.
Northern Illinois shot 50.6 percent from the field and outrebounded St. Joseph's 67-22. Bowie led the Huskies with 12 rebounds.
Cameron Vines had 22 points for St. Joseph's. The Pumas shot just 36.8 percent from the field.
