Eastern Michigan beats Central Michigan 64-42
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Karrington Ward scored 18 points as Eastern Michigan rolled over Central Michigan 64-42 on Wednesday night.
Glenn Bryant came off the bench to add 12 points and five rebounds for the Eagles (16-12, 8-7 Mid-American Conference). Daylen Harrison and Da'Shonte Riley had six each.
Eastern Michigan went ahead early and led 24-19 at the break. The Eagles outscored the Chippewas nearly 2 to 1 in the second half and cruised to the win, snapping a two-game skid.
Chris Fowler led Central Michigan with 10 points. John Simons added six points and led the team with eight rebounds.
The Chippewas (10-17, 3-12) struggled all night for buckets from the field (13 of 51) and from 3-point range (8 of 22). They hit 44.4 percent from the line. They also committed 15 turnovers during the game, 10 of which came as EMU steals.
