Wright State dispatches Alcorn State 73-55
DAYTON, Ohio -- Cole Darling scored 18 points and Wright State stayed perfect at home with a 73-55 victory over Alcorn State on Wednesday night.
All four of the Raiders' (4-3) victories have come at home. The Braves (3-3) remained winless in three road games.
Wright State took the lead early and was never headed, going up 30-24 at the half.
The Raiders came out in the second half on an 11-0 run, sparked by seven points from Darling. Then after two buckets by the Braves, the Raiders went on a 9-0 run to lead 50-28 with 11:05 left.
Alcorn State would make a dent with a 13-4 run, closing to 63-50 with 4:02 left. The Braves wouldn't get any closer.
Jerran Young added 13 points and Miles Dixon 11 for the Raiders, who shot 51 percent.
Octavius Brown was the only Alcorn State player scoring in double figures with 11 points.
