Princeton dispatches Pacific in Las Vegas, 83-58
LAS VEGAS -- T.J. Bray scored 20 points and dished out eight assists to lead Princeton to an 83-58 win over Pacific in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic Friday night.
Bray, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Week, set a school record with 13 assists in his last game, an 81-79 win over Penn State in overtime.
Princeton (9-1) is off to its best start since the 1997-98 season. That squad was ranked No. 19 in the nation after nine games.
Princeton got 13 points from Hans Brase and 12 from Spencer Weisz while the Tigers shot a crisp 27 of 53 from the field (50.9 percent) and 18 of 39 from 3-point range.
Pacific (8-2) got 12 points from Sama Taku and 10 from T. J Wallace.
Princeton plays Portland Saturday in its final game of the tournament. Pacific plays Bradley.
