Massenat leads Drexel over Hofstra 74-63
PHILADELPHIA -- Frantz Massenat had 24 points, seven assists, and three steals to lead Drexel to a season sweep over Hofstra 74-63 on Sunday night.
Drexel (14-11, 6-6 Colonial Athletic Association) took the lead for good on a Massenat 3-pointer made the score 9-8 and led 32-25 at halftime. The last time Massenat played against the Pride on Jan. 29, he had a career-high 32 points with nine assists in a 77-74 win for the Dragons.
Chris Fouch added 16 points, Rodney Williams had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Dartaye Ruffin had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Chris Jenkins closed Hofstra within 40-37 on a 3-pointer with 15:43 to go. The Pride held tight with the Dragons until a 10-point run put Drexel up 57-44 with 8:34 to go.
Zeke Upshaw led Hofstra (8-19, 4-8) with 20 points, and Jordan Allen added 10.
