PHILADELPHIA -- Frantz Massenat scored a career-high 27 points and had 12 rebounds and eight assists to lead Drexel to a 93-88 victory over Northeastern in double overtime Saturday.
Chris Fouch scored 31 points for the Dragons (9-6, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association). Tavon Allen added 18.
Down by seven at halftime, Northeastern (4-12, 1-1) started the second period with a 21-10 run to put the Huskies up 50-43 with 10:37 to play. The Dragons came back to lead by three in the final seconds but the Huskies' Demetrius Pollard hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer tying the game 67-67 and sent it into overtime.
With the score 76-76 in the second overtime, Fouch scored 11 points -- including a pair of 3-pointers -- to give the Dragons a six-point edge with 13 seconds to play. A Scott Eatherton layup for the Huskies as time ran out could not make up the deficit.
