HOUSTON -- Shawn Glover scored 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting -- topping the 1,000-point plateau at Oral Roberts -- as the Golden Eagles beat Houston Baptist 80-66 Thursday night.
After falling behind 9-4 in the first 3 minutes of the game, Oral Roberts (13-12, 7-5 Southland Conference) used a 27-6 run to blow the game open. The Golden Eagles led by double-digits the rest of the way and by as many as 22 in the second half.
ORU tied a season high by making 33 field goals while shooting 55 percent from the floor and hitting 8 of 17 from 3-point range. Its 17 assists also tied a season high.
Rob Lewis was the only Houston Baptist (4-21, 1-12) player to score in double figures, finishing with 19 points, as the Huskies shot just 35.7 percent (20 of 56) from the field.
