NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Travis Betran scored 21 points and Ed Dyson had a career-high 20 to lead Austin Peay to a 75-65 win over Tennessee State on Thursday.
Will Triggs added 12 points for the Governors (10-13, 4-5 Ohio Valley).
M.J. Rhett led Tennessee State (3-22, 2-9) with 20 points. Patrick Miller added 17, Kennedy Eubanks 13 and Jay Harris 11. The Tigers shot just 36.5 percent but had 18 offensive rebounds. Rhett and Eubanks had 10 boards apiece.
Austin Peay shot 55.1 percent but struggled from the line. They finished at 55.2 percent, hitting 16 of 29, including 6 of 10 in the final 3 minutes. Dyson hit 6 of 8 shots.
