E. Kentucky burns Warren Wilson 114-45
RICHMOND, Ky. -- Glenn Cosey scored 28 points, Orlando Williams added 22 and Timmy Knipp had 20 as Eastern Kentucky destroyed Warren Wilson 114-45 Wednesday night.
Both Cosey and Knipp had career highs for the Colonels (3-1), who shot a blistering 61.5 percent, including a 20 of 39 performance on three-pointers. The 20 three's tied an Ohio Valley Conference record.
The game was decided early as Eastern Kentucky bolted to a 61-17 halftime lead. The Colonels had runs of 22-0 and 29-4 and shot 71 percent in the first half.
Warren Wilson (2-5) was led by Ty Johnson with 15 points and Tim Oktay added 12.
Cosey hit 9 of 13 shots, including 6 of 10 three-pointers. He also had nine assists. The Colonels had 24 assists on their 40 baskets. Their defense also forced the Owls into 32 turnovers.
