LOGAN, Utah -- Kyle Boswell drilled a 3-pointer with eight seconds left to give UC Santa Barbara the 57-54 win over Troy Thursday night at the Basketball Travelers Classic.

Alan Williams paced the Gauchos (6-3) with 18 points and 11 rebounds while Taran Brown added 12 points. Boswell finished with nine off the bench.

Hunter Williams hit a 3 with 4:15 left to give Troy (4-5) a 50-43 lead. UCSB tied it almost two minutes later on a Brown 3-pointer.

Williams responded, hitting another 3 to push the lead to 54-51 with 1:56 left.

Williams hit one of two free throws, and Eric Childress scored layup to tie the game with 1:08 to go.

Jeff Mullahey missed a 3 for Troy, and Williams grabbed the rebound, setting the stage for Boswell's winner.

Williams missed a last-second 3 to tie the game. He finished with 18 points on a career-high six 3s.
