IUPUI snaps skid, beats Denver 59-49

INDIANAPOLIS -- Mitch Patton scored 14 points as IUPUI picked up its first Summit League win of the year on Thursday night with a 59-49 victory over Denver.
The Jaguars (6-21, 1-9 Summit League) entered the game having lost nine straight and 14 of their last 15 but broke their losing streak, holding Denver (12-12, 5-4) to its lowest point total of the season.
Marcellus Barksdale added 13 points while Elijah Ray and Khufu Najee had 12 apiece for IUPUI, which shot 54.1 percent from the field.
The Jaguars closed the first half on a 9-2 run to take a 25-20 halftime lead and never trailed for the remainder of the game, earning just their second road win of the season.
Chris Udofia led Denver with 13 points while Brett Olson added 10.
