North Dakota State defeats Mayville State 96-45
FARGO, N.D. -- Mike Felt hit six 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 30 points and North Dakota State rolled to an easy 96-45 victory Saturday night over Mayville State of the NAIA.
Felt hit three consecutive 3-pointers to lead North Dakota State to a 29-9 lead in the first half. Felt's third 3-pointer of the second half stretched the Bison lead to 65-23 with 13:45 to play.
North Dakota State (10-4) has won nine of its last ten games. Carlin Dupree added 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field. Marshall Bjorklund scored 11 points while making his 109th consecutive start. Bjorklund ranks fourth on the NDSU all-time list in games started.
Mayville State shot just 18 of 53 (34 percent) from the field. Jonathon Butler, Charlton Wilson and Alex Herman each scored nine points to lead the Comets.
