Denver handles Belmont 90-62
DENVER -- Chris Udofia scored 21 points, leading four players in double figures, as Denver easily handled Belmont 90-62 on Tuesday.
Denver (4-5) scored 45 points in both halves to easily outpace the Bruins. Brett Olson added 19 points and seven assists for the Pioneers, while Jalen Love chipped in with 13 points. Denver made good on 56 percent of their field goal attempts, including going 12 of 23 from beyond the arc.
Craig Bradshaw led Belmont scorers with 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting.
The Pioneers used a 14-4 run at the end of the first half to take a 45-30 lead at the intermission.
Belmont (8-3) cut the lead to 10 with 16:32 left on Evan Bradds' layup, but Denver went on a 16-0 run to push the lead to 64-38 three minutes later and Belmont was never able to get within 20 points the rest of the way.
