IPFW takes down Dartmouth 80-64
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Luis Jacobo scored 23 points as five Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne players reached double figures in an 80-64 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday night.
IPFW (7-4) shot 56.3 percent (27 of 48) from the field, and opened a 40-24 halftime lead. The Mastodons closed the first half on a 20-10 run, led by eight points from Joe Edwards and seven from Jacobo during the stretch.
IPFW continued to roll in the second half, leading by as many as 25.
Jacobo was 7 of 13 from the field and made 3 of 7 3-pointers. Isaiah McCray, Pierre Bland and Mo Evans each contributed 11 points for the Mastodons while Edwards added 10.
Connor Boehm led Dartmouth (3-3) with 15 points and eight rebounds. Eli Harrison added 12.
IPFW snapped a two-game losing streak with the win and defeated Dartmouth for the third consecutive season.
