OMAHA, Neb. -- Marcus Tyus led Nebraska-Omaha with 24 points in an impressive 91-59 victory over South Carolina State on Tuesday night.
Omaha (3-2) took much better care of the ball with only six turnovers compared to 21 by the South Carolina State. Jalen Bradley added 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting from the field, including two three pointers. Devin Patterson had 12 points and eight assists. Tyus also forced three turnovers.
The Mavericks held a 46-25 advantage at the half and never led by less than 20 points for the rest of the game.
South Carolina State (1-4) outrebounded Omaha 41-33, but Omaha made 24 of 30 free throws while the Bulldogs had only 10 attempts from the line.
Matthew Hezekiah had 22 points and Daryll Palmer had 11 points and 14 rebounds for South Carolina State.
