Lehigh downs Boston U 82-80 in OT
BOSTON -- Tim Kempton scored 18 points Saturday and Mackey McKnight hit the game-winning layup with 1 second to play as Lehigh came back from a 15-point deficit to beat Boston University 82-80 in overtime.
McKnight finished with 16 points, Jesse Chuku and Justin Goldsborough had 11 apiece and Lehigh (12-11, 5-5 Patriot) won its fourth straight, avenging a 67-66 loss to the Terriers on Jan. 5.
Boston University (15-8, 8-2) led 41-26 at halftime, but Lehigh used runs of 13-4 and 9-0 to take a 66-63 lead. Boston University led by two with 15 seconds to play in regulation, but free throws by Chuku tied it at 73.
Boston university's Dom Morris tied it at 80 in OT with a free throw, but McKnight hit a layup with 1 second to play and time expired.
D.J. Irving led the Terriers with 25, Morris had 17 and John Papale 13.
