Bucknell beats Columbia 57-52
LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Brian Fitzpatrick scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half on Saturday to help rally Bucknell to a 57-52 comeback win over Columbia.
Grant Mullins opened with a layup and Columbia (5-5) led by as much as seven points, but Bucknell's Ryan Hill hit two free throws to narrow the lead to 25-22 at half time.
Fitzpatrick opened the second half with two quick layups and Bucknell (5-4) took a 26-25 lead, but Columbia fought back and the lead changed hands four more times until Hill's layup with 31 seconds to go gave Bucknell a 54-50 edge. Isaac Cohen's layup made it a 2-point game, but Bucknell's Cameron Ayers made three free throws in the final 19 seconds to clinch the win.
Chris Haas scored 14 for Bucknell and Ayers added 11.
Cory Osetkowski led Columbia with 12 and Alex Rosenberg and Maodo Lo scored 10 each.
