Tulsa pulls away from Fullerton 73-57
TULSA, Okla. -- Four players scored in double figures as Tulsa pulled away in the second half to defeat Cal State-Fullerton 73-57 on Saturday.
Rashad Smith, James Woodward and D'Andre Wright had 12 points apiece for the Golden Hurricane (5-9) with Shaquille Harrison adding 11.
Tulsa led 32-28 at the half on 45.5 percent shooting to 41 percent for the Titans (5-9), but the teams went in opposite directions in the second half. Tulsa ended up at 50 percent while Fullerton dropped down to 37.3 for the game.
Michael Williams led Fullerton with 20 points and Josh Gentry added 15.
The Titans also had twice as many turnovers (16) as assists (8). Tulsa's numbers were exactly opposite.
Tulsa had a 14 point lead late in the first half when the Titans went on a 12-0 run. They got within one in the second half before going cold as the Golden Hurricane pulled away.
