BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Jordan Swing scored 17 points as UAB defeated Chattanooga 67-52 on Wednesday night.

Chad Frazier had 15 points with six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals. Rod Rucker scored 14 points with three assists and grabbed six rebounds. UAB was 45.5 percent from the field overall and hit 68.8 percent from the line.

The Blazers (9-2) jumped to a 10-4 lead early in the first period but the Mocs (4-8) tied it up by 14:30. A Swing 3-pointer at 8:54 in the first led to an 18-8 run for the Blazers that left them leading 35-27 at the break. The win is the fifth straight for UAB.

Chattanooga hit just 30.6 from the field and 26.7 from 3-point range. Martynas Bareika and Eric Robertson each scored 11 to lead the Mocs.
