NEW ORLEANS -- Damon Sherman-Newsome scored 25 points to lead five players in double figures as Colgate defeated Tulane 98-86 Tuesday night.
Sherman-Newsome scored 14 of his points in the second half, and was 3 of 4 from 3-point range. Colgate (3-2) led by as many as 17 points in the second half.
The Raiders, who average 12 3-pointers per game, were 17 of 27 from beyond the arc. Pat Moore and Ethan Jacobs each hit five three-pointers.
Colgate has had five players score in double figures for the third time this season. The Raiders have won three-straight, scoring 81 points or more.
Louis Dabney had a game-high 31 points to lead Tulane (4-2) and Jonathan Stark added 24. Tulane took advantage of 26 personal fouls from Colgate, and was 30 of 40 from the line.
