Wallace, North Florida beat Jacksonville 86-82

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Travis Wallace had 27 points and a career-high 19 rebounds Friday night to lead North Florida over Jacksonville 86-82 in the River City Rumble.

With the scored tied 75-75 and 2:07 to play, Demarcus Daniels gave North Florida the lead for good on a 3-pointer that also sparked a 7-0 run.

Keith McDougald hit a 3-pointer for Jacksonville to cut the score to 83-80 with 20 seconds left. Charles McRoy answered with 1 of 2 free throws to give the Ospreys a four-point advantage.

After McDougald missed a contested 3-pointer with 9 seconds left, McRoy made both free throws to seal the win.

Dallas Moore had 15 points and McRoy added 13 for UNF (11-9, 5-2 Atlantic Sun) which moves to a half-game behind Mercer and Florida Gulf Coast for the conference lead.

Jarvis Haywood had 29 points to lead Jacksonville (8-10, 4-3) and McDougald added 20 points.
