Stetson upsets East Tennessee 64-58
DELAND, Fla. -- Willie Green scored 15 points and Stetson erased a 3-point halftime deficit to beat East Tennessee State 64-58 on Thursday.
Stetson (3-14, 1-4 Atlantic Sun) outscored East Tennessee by nine in the second half to earn its first conference win of the season. Kentwan Smith had 13 points and Brian Pegg added 11.
East Tennessee (9-8, 2-2) was led by Hunter Harris' 13 points. Jalen Riley had 12 while Rashawn Rembert and Lester Wilson added 10 apiece.
The teams were tied at 24 with 2:46 left in the first half, but East Tennessee made three straight buckets and took a three-point advantage to the lockers.
They were tied again at 56 with 2:17 left in the game, but Green made a pair of free throws and hit a jumper, while East Tennessee managed just a pair of free throws by Riley in the last two minutes of the game.
