Riley, ETSU shock Austin Peay 84-79
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Jalen Riley scored six points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out one assist in the final 2:55 as ETSU shocked Austin Peay 84-79 Saturday.
Cory Arentsen hit a 3-point shot with 5:06 remaining to give Austin Peay (5-8) a 77-70 lead but ETSU responded with a 14-0 run capped by a pair of free throws by Riley with 13 seconds to play.
The Buccaneers (6-6) have now beaten the Governors twice this month following an 80-74 victory on Dec. 4.
Rashawn Rembert scored 21 points, knocking down 4 of 9 3-pointers, to pace ETSU. Riley finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists. A.J. Merriweather and Kenan Gadsden-Gilliard added 14 points apiece.
Arentsen, who had made seven 3-pointers in the first 11 games of the season, scored 21 on 7-of-10 shooting from 3-point range. Chris Horton finished with 23 points, on 10 of 14 shooting, and nine rebounds.
