JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Jalen Riley and Rashawn Rembert each scored career-highs -- 28 and 26 points, respectively -- as East Tennessee State ran away from Tusculum 108-87 Monday night.
Isaac Banks scored six straight points to spark a 13-3 run midway through the first half, opening up a 33-21 lead for ETSU (5-6) with 7:57 remaining. Darius Carter answered with a 3-pointer and, after a pair of free throws by Riley, a layup to pull the Pioneers within nine. The Buccaneers scored nine of the next 11 points and eventually took a 49-35 advantage into the break.
Lester Wilson's 3-point basket, just under 3 minutes into the second half, pushed ETSU's lead to 20 and Tusculum would never challenge again.
Chase Mounce netted a career-high 18 points for the Pioneers, who were out-rebounded 41-30 and have now lost nine straight.
Wilson finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Banks added 12 and nine.
