Presbyterian comeback tops Toccoa Falls, 86-76
CLINTON, S.C. -- Jordan Downing and William Truss combined to score 40 points and Truss pulled down 16 rebounds to lead Presbyterian to its first win of the season, coming from behind in the second half to beat Toccoa Falls, 86-76 Monday night.
The Blue Hose (1-3) trailed by four late in the fourth quarter and were down 37-35 at intermission.
Downing led Presbyterian with 21 points while Truss added 19 points by pulling down 11 offensive rebounds. The Blue Hose enjoyed a 50-39 advantage on the boards, grabbing 21 offensive rebounds.
Will Adams added 17 points by connecting on 5 of 8 from 3-point range, and Reggie Dillard added 14 points while dishing off 12 assists.
Josh Barrett led all scorers with 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Eagles (0-5). Derek Westfall added 18 points.
