North Dakota defeats Portland State 83-73

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Troy Huff scored 24 points to lead North Dakota to an 83-73 win over Portland State on Thursday.

Aaron Anderson added 12 points and Josh Schuler had 11 off the bench as the reserves for North Dakota(13-14, 10-7 Big Sky) out-scored the reserves for the Vikings (13-13, 8-9) 32-10.

Andrew Winston had 20 points, Kyle Richardson 19 and Tim Douglas and Gary Winston 12 each for Portland State. DeShaun Wiggins, with 10 points, was the only Viking reserve to score. Richardson pulled down 14 rebounds.

Portland State shot 51.7 from the field but was only 4 of 15 from 3-point range and made just 9 of 16 free throws. North Dakota shot 48.4 percent but made half of its 16 treys and was 15 of 18 from the line.

North Dakota led 32-27 at the half and pushed the margin to 10 midway through the second half.
