North Dakota defeats Idaho State 66-62
GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Jaron Nash scored 21 points and Troy Huff sparked a second-half run as North Dakota won back-to-back games for the first time this season with a 66-62 victory over Idaho State on Thursday night.
North Dakota(5-8, 2-1 Big Sky) began a 10-0 run midway through the second half to take a 55-43 lead with 8:14 left. Huff scored eight of his 12 points during that stretch.
Chris Hansen hit a 3-pointer to get the Bengals (5-7, 2-1) within 62-59 with 1:43 left. A free throw by Aaron Anderson and a basket by Huff put UND back up by five. Tomas Sanchez hit a 3-pointer for ISU with 15 seconds left to make it 64-62 before UND's Cole Stefan made two free throws.
North Dakota had a 32-16 advantage in the paint and turned 23 Idaho State turnovers into 26 points.
Hansen had 24 points for ISU.
