BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Christian Moon scored 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting including four 3-pointers and Montana State cruised to a 71-55 victory over Sacramento State in its regular season finale Saturday.
Montana State (13-16, 10-10 Big Sky) led 39-28 at halftime but the Hornets didn't go away easily, using a 15-3 run to begin the second half and took a 43-42 lead after a Jordan Salley dunk. Tied at 49 with 6:54 to play, Montana State outscored the Hornets 22-6 the rest of the way.
Flavien Davis had 14 points and Paul Egwuonwu scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Bobcats.
John Dickson, Dylan Garrity and Mikh McKinney each scored 13 points for Sacramento State (14-16, 8-12).
Montana State claims the No. 4 seed in the Big Sky Conference tournament in which begins Thursday. The Bobcats will play No. 5 Northern Colorado in either Missoula, Mont., or Ogden, Utah.
