BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Reggie Keely scored 21 points and Ohio clinched a top-two seed in the Mid-American Conference tournament by defeating Bowling Green 78-65 Saturday.
The Bobcats (21-8, 12-2) set a new school record for league wins during a 16-game MAC schedule in capturing their first victory at Bowling Green since 2007. Ohio also posted a program-record 50 wins over the past two seasons.
The Bobcats led by 13 in the first half, but the Falcons (12-17, 6-8) surged ahead 40-39 with 17:13 left. Ohio pulled away with a 10-2 run, then maintained a five-point cushion.
Nick Kellogg added 16 points and Walter Offutt 12. D.J. Cooper had 10 points, including two 3-pointers to tie for first all-time at Ohio (259). Cooper's six assists gave him 907 for 12th place on the NCAA Division I list.
A'uston Calhoun's 24 points led Bowling Green, which also lost to the Bobcats 72-63 on Feb. 9.
