HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Tony Johnson scored 17 points to lead five Lafayette players in double figures as the Leopards held off Colgate 80-67 Wednesday night to win their fourth straight game and sweep the season series.
The Leopards (16-14, 9-4 Patriot League), who limited the Raiders to their lowest output of the season in a 69-40 win on Jan. 30, shot 59.3 percent in the first half (16 of 27) to lead 41-31.
The Raiders (11-19, 5-8) pulled within three points on four occasions in the second half, the last time at 66-63 with 4:53 left, but could get no closer.
Seth Hinrichs added 15 points, Dan Trist 14, Joey Ptasinski 12 and Bryce Scott 10 for Lafayette, which won nine conference games for the first time since 2010.
Murphy Burnatowski, whose 24 points -- including five 3-pointers -- led the Raiders, was the only Colgate player to score more than six points.
