CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Freshman Bryn Forbes tied a career high with 24 points and Cleveland State erupted in the second half to defeat Milwaukee 88-67.
Forbes set his career high on Feb. 9 against Valparaiso, and is averaging 18.3 points over his past four contests.
The Vikings (13-15, 5-9 Horizon League) trailed 41-39 shortly after halftime but used an 11-0, 4-minute stretch to take the lead and built it from there.
In the second half, Cleveland State shot 52.9 percent (18 of 34) from the field and hit 7 of 13 from 3-point range. The Panthers committed nine second-half turnovers and the Vikings turned them into a 16-1 advantage in points off turnovers.
Cleveland State's Charlie Lee added 17 of his 20 points in the second half. The Vikings outscored the Panthers 51-30 in the period.
