LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Tony Freeland scored 14 points and Long Beach State routed UC Riverside 75-35 on Saturday.
Eleven players scored for the Big West-leading 49ers (16-9, 12-2 Big West), who led 31-19 at halftime and opened it up early in the second half. They closed the game with a 28-5 run and made 53 percent of their shots from the field.
James Ennis scored 12 points and Deng Deng added 10 for Long Beach State.
