SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Spencer Collins scored a game-high 20 points and Karl Cochran added his first career double-double to push Wofford past UNC Greensboro 59-50 Saturday night in a Southern Conference matchup.
Cochran had 16 points and was the only player with double-figure rebounds with 12, helping Wofford (10-15, 4-8) outrebound UNC Greensboro 40-38.
Wofford held UNC Greensboro (7-16, 5-7), the SoCon's top scoring offense, to just 32.1-percent (18 of 56) shooting and its lowest point total of the season.
Tied at 38 with 7:36 left, Wofford separated from the Spartans with an 11-2 run, capped by Indiana Faithfull's layup to make it 49-40 with 4:19 to play.
Two free throws by Trevis Simpson cut the Terriers' lead to 55-50 with 32 seconds left, but Wofford would make 4 of 6 free throws in the final 30 seconds to ensure the victory.
Simpson led the Spartans with 16 points and eight rebounds.
