CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Andrew Lawrence scored 17 points and Trent Wiedeman recorded a double-double to help College of Charleston to an 81-59 win over UNC Greensboro on Saturday night.
Wiedeman finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Cougars (16-7, 8-3 Southern Conference), who have won four straight games. Willis Hall scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Anthony Stitt and Adjehi Baru each had 10 points.
College of Charleston led for most of the contest, taking a 28-14 lead with 9:04 left in the first half on a 3-pointer by Lawrence, who also had six assists. The Cougars went into halftime with a 13-point advantage and continued to dominate the Spartans in the second half, leading by as many as 22 points.
Kayel Locke scored 21 points before fouling out for UNC Greensboro (7-14, 4-6), which has lost two games in a row. Trevis Simpson scored 15 points.
