HANOVER, N.H. -- Gabas Maldunas came off the bench for 16 points and eight rebounds and Dartmouth won its first Ivy League game this season 71-62 over poor-shooting Yale on Saturday night.
Alex Mitola added 12 points, John Golden 11 and Conner Boehm 10 for Dartmouth (5-13, 1-3), which shot over 50 percent (23 of 45) from the field for the third time in four games.
Maldunas hit a layup to draw the game its fifth tie, 14-14, and spark a 9-0 run for the Big Green. Dartmouth took a 27-20 lead into the break and made 19 of 20 shots from the charity stripe in the second half to pull away.
Austin Morgan led Yale (7-14, 1-3) with 20 points and Matt Townsend had 16 but the other three Bulldog starters went a combined 1-for-13 shooting.
Yale shot 35.3 percent (18 of 51) overall and made just 5 of 24 3-point attempts.
