ALBANY, N.Y. -- D.J. Irving forced overtime with two 3-pointers in 4 seconds to help Boston University win at America East-rival Albany 85-80 Wednesday night.

Albany's Mike Black hit a pair of free throws for a 63-57 lead with 15 seconds left. Irving drained a 3-pointer with 9 seconds remaining, and after Black committed a turnover on the inbound pass, Irving knocked down another 3 with 5 seconds left.

Boston's John Papale added 11 of his 18 points in overtime.

Maurice Watson Jr. led the Terriers (10-10, 4-3) with 21 points, while Irving was 5-of-11 shooting from deep and scored 20. Malik Thomas scored 12 points with 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Black hit just 5 of 22 from the field but made 9 of 9 at the foul line and led the Great Danes (16-5, 5-2) with 20 points. Albany had been off to the program's best ever 20-game start.
