Missouri State Bears @ Bradley Braves
Bradley 69, Missouri St. 66
PEORIA, Ill. -- Walt Lemon Jr. drove the length of the court and banked in a running 3-pointer at the buzzer, giving Bradley a 69-66 victory over Missouri State on Saturday.
Lemon, who scored 20 points for the Braves (12-7, 4-3 Missouri Valley), made his shot after Anthony Downing's left-handed layup with 4.3 seconds left had tied the game for the Bears (5-14, 3-4) and capped a comeback from a 16-point deficit.
Dyricus Simms-Edwards added 17 points and Will Egolf had 11 for Bradley. Downing, Gavin Thurman and Marcus Marshall scored 13 apiece for Missouri State, which never led but shot 58 percent from the floor after halftime to get back into the game after a 6-of-21 performance in the first half.
The Braves improved to 9-2 at home, securing a winning home record for the first time since the 2009-10 season, and snapped Missouri State's four-game winning streak in the series.
