RENO, Nev. -- Leonard Washington had 16 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday and Wyoming came back from its first loss of the season to defeat Nevada 59-48.
Riley Grabau added 12 points for the Cowboys (14-1, 1-1), who lost their Mountain West opener to Boise State on a 3-pointer at the buzzer Wednesday night.
Deonte Burton scored 23 points to lead Nevada (9-7, 0-2), which lost for only the second time in 10 home games this season.
Burton was 8 of 13 from the field, but his Wolf Pack teammates were just 10 for 49, or 20 percent.
Nevada led 20-17 at halftime, but Grabau hit three of his four 3-pointers in the second half and the Cowboys made 68 percent from the field overall after the break. They finished at 47 percent.
Larry Nance Jr. had nine points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots for Wyoming.
