PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Sean McGonagill and Matt Sullivan combined for 43 points and Tucker Halpern posted a double-double to help Brown edge Niagara 75-74 in overtime of their nonconference matchup Tuesday night.
McGonagill finished with 23 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals, Sullivan added 20 points and eight boards and Halpern had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Brown (5-8), which pulled down a season-high 53 rebounds.
Niagara (7-8), which opened the game with a 10-2 run, scored the first three points in overtime, but McGonagill tied the game 65-all with a 3-pointer. Tyler Ponticelli's layup with 52 seconds remaining broke open a 67-67 tie then McGonagill hit two free throws, stole the ball from Niagara's Malcolm Lemmons and converted a fast-break layup all in a 13-second span to put Brown up 73-67.
Juan'Ya Green hit a 3-pointer to cut it to 73-70 but Halpern's free throws sealed it.
